Kraken, one of the longest-standing, most liquid and secure cryptocurrency exchanges has announced plans to deploy Beeks Exchange Cloud® in its European data centre, launching a new colocation service designed for fairness, accessibility, and high-speed execution.
Colocation is well-established in traditional financial markets, where traders place their systems inside an exchange’s data centre to gain a speed advantage.
But unlike traditional colocation models, which are often built exclusively for institutions, Kraken is making its service available to a wider range of market participants. Their approach prioritises accessibility while maintaining the fairness and transparency that has always been core to crypto markets.
For over a decade, Kraken has been refining its infrastructure to create one of the most secure and liquid crypto exchanges. This latest move, set to go live in late 2025, is part of that ongoing evolution—using Beeks private secure and scalable infrastructure to give traders faster execution, deeper liquidity, and fair transparent market access.
Beeks Exchange Cloud® is a private, scalable trading infrastructure already used by tier 1 equity exchanges. By deploying it in Kraken’s data centre, Kraken is giving traders access to ultra-low latency execution without needing to install and manage their own hardware. Those with specific technical needs will still have the option to install their own hardware in Kraken’s data centre. Both options give access to the same low-latency environment, with traders in London, for example, experiencing sub-millisecond execution speeds.
This is a significant step forward for crypto markets. Traditionally, achieving the lowest latency meant investing in expensive infrastructure, limiting access to only the largest trading firms. With Beeks technology, Kraken is removing that barrier. Traders can now leverage high-speed execution without needing to install and manage their own hardware, ensuring a more accessible and level playing field. For crypto and equity exchanges, deploying low-latency solutions like Beeks Exchange Cloud® can help increase liquidity, improve market efficiency, and unlock new revenue streams by attracting a broader range of market participants.
