Despite cancelled flights due to heavy snow (yes, snow!) in the UK, our events team – including CEO Gordon McArthur – made it to the expo on time and can confirm it was another smoothly organised event by Finance Magnates. There was a packed agenda of interesting talks scheduled during the days, and, as always, they outdid themselves with the evening entertainment.
In our second year as exhibitors, it was a busy few days – a great opportunity to offer solutions to new customer enquiries in their hosting requirements, in addition to reconnecting with existing clients and old friends.
Topics of discussion such as Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency wave were rife, with many of the guest speakers choosing to provide clarity on these issues; some notable moments were the first day’s Keynote speech by Abraham Othman on Prediction Markets for Blockchain, and the CEO panel’s insights into what 2018 holds for cryptocurrency.
We had a lot of hopefuls entering into our Beeks Business Card Raffle, but in the end it was Michael Feldman from Vision Asia Consulting Group who took home a prize of 28-year-old Bunnahabhain Scotch whisky – congratulations!
Well done to Finance Magnates for creating another successful event, we look forward to seeing you all next year.
